AMALFI KAYAK

The aim of the Amalfi Coast Sea Kayak Association is to encourage eco-sustainable tourism through the use of sea kayaks.
With this in mind, we plan guided excursions by kayak along the Amalfi Coast lasting from one to several days.

Anyone, with or without experience, may join our excursions provided they can swim.
Groups will include between two and twelve persons.
Participants are advised to book via e-mail or telephone at least 24 hours in advance.

On half- or full-day guided tours along the Amalfi Coast, the Amalfi Coast Sea Kayak Association will provide:

• a closed-deck sea kayak, either single- or twin-seater;
• paddles,
• a lifejacket,
• spray skirts,
• waterproof bags,
• a dry (waterproof) jacket
• and a laminated, or plastic-protected map of the Amalfi Coast.

The kayaks we supply are very stable and are suitable even for those with little experience.
However, children aged under 14 travel in a twin-seater kayak in charge of an adult.
All persons aged under 18 must be accompanied by a parent on any excursion.

Excursions will be led by a guide who will give you information on the cultural background of the Amalfi Coast and our region. Languages spoken include Italian, English and French.
Before each departure there will be a short induction on safety at sea.

You are advised to have a light meal before starting out, and to bring with you a supply of water and a light snack such as fruit or a sandwich for rest stops. A packed lunch will be provided for day excursions.

All trips will include stops which will give you time to rest, sunbathe, swim, go snorkelling, have a snack and explore, on foot, the villages at which we land.

During the months of July and August we organise kayak excursions under a full moon.
And in the Events section you will find information on kayak excursions to coincide with special occasions, such as festivals, taking place on the Amalfi Coast.

For safety reasons, excursion routes may be altered, reduced in length or in some cases cancelled, according to the prevailing sea and weather conditions.
